July 2010

Dear Red Ribbon Friends

It’s hard to believe July is here already; the year is half over.  Red Ribbon Friends would like to thank everyone who came out in May to support Honky Tonk Angels.  First, to the cast: Tim, Chris, and Michael. The amount of time and work you guys put in is unbelievable. I wish more people had had the opportunity to see the production.  It was first-class all the way.  Everyone was impressed with the quality of your performances. Thank you to the major sponsors: Rainbow House Bar & Grill, Time Out!, Myrtle Beach Pride 2010/The Center Project, Spirit Halloween/The Frenton Group LLC, Barefoot Wine, Lord Photography, and Moozie’s Closet.  Also, Red Ribbon Friends would like to add a special thanks to Ken Martin, CCU Theatre Department, Theater of the Republic, John Woodson, Artistic Director of Atlantic Stages Theatre, Dance Express, Johanna Haynes, The Prime Timers, The T-Time Ladies, and anyone else who helped Kelly, Kristina, and C’Anna. The production was a major undertaking and an education.  Because of the community support, Red Ribbon Friends will be presenting $1,000 to Careteam on Saturday, July 10th, at midnight, at Time Out to Johanna Haynes, the executive director of Careteam to be used for the Red Ribbon Friends/Careteam Grant.

Saturday, July 10th, will also be the next planned fundraiser for RRF.  Come join us for our Beach Blast Party, Kelly and the girls have some sizzling entertainment planned. The hot lifeguards will be providing some cool relief. They are sure to be some surprises as well.  The party starts at midnight and will end with plenty of time to dance the night away. Anyone wishing to help decorate, come to Time Out at 3:00PM. Decorating usually takes about an hour. The more help we have, the quicker we finish. Please come out and celebrate with your friends and family.  You are the ones that have made every venture successful.

Keep in mind some other dates coming up soon.
